August 28, 2007 ... our little sweetheart turned one years old on Thursday! It seems like she has been a part of our family forever. She thoroughly enjoyed her first piece of Texas Sheet cake (chocolate cake) and a bowl of vanilla ice cream. In fact, when the ice cream was done, she screamed for more. We relented and gave her a small second bowl. Then it was time for presents. There were about eight wrapped gifts on the fireplace hearth waiting for her. Of course, she was totally unaware of what she was supposed to do or even of what was going on. Her three big brothers helped solve that problem by fighting over who was going to help Lucy. She ended up only opening two gifts because she was having so much fun playing with her new set of balls and her TV talking remote from Grandma and Grandpa Seale. The boys were mystified by the fact that Lucy did not want to open anymore gifts! She ended up opening a few gifts over the next two days! All is all, nothing has changed. Lucy continues to amuse all of us with her smiles, laughter and new discoveries. Her latest feat is to crawl up the steps all by herself (no problem, as long as she does not look backwards)! Won't be long before she is walking. Happy Birthday Lucy!
