When the kids were little, a band-aid could solve so many hurts and boo-boos. For my older set, the hurts are so much bigger and too big for band-aids. Now the hurts need an ear to listen, a warm hug, a smile, a word of encouragement or maybe just quiet, a place of rest, ... sometimes just my presence. And the hurts may or may not go away with these "remedies". They may only be temporary and provide a place of peace for a moment.
What's a mom to do when she can't make the pain go away .... when she can't make her child "better"?
Pray. Trust. Pray.
I'm praying!

Maria, that is the part of motherhood which I dread, and now that my girls are entering their teens, I know that it is fast approaching.
I will have to learn to lean upon Our Blessed Mother to soothe the hurts I can't.
