This Christmas, my two year old, Lucy, became infatuated with Frosty the Snowman. He even beat Santa Claus in popularity! So, as soon as the snow started falling Tuesday morning, Lucy was jabbering about Frosty visiting our house. My kids tried to make Frosty yesterday, but the snow was so fine, it would not pack. Today, was a different story. The temperature had risen a bit and things were starting to slowly melt. So before the rain came, the kids headed outside with Lucy to create Frosty. Of course, the problem now was that there was not much snow in the first place, so Frosty was going to be in miniature! Despite everything, the kids managed to give Lucy the thrill of having Frosty in her backyard for about two hours. Then the rising temperatures and rain made him disappear. Oh well! We still have high hopes for a big snow to hit northern Virginia. We haven't had one for several years, so it is now our turn for a real snow storm! Let it snow!
